The Collaboration Project began in September 2018 when leadership from The United Way Fort McMurry Wood Buffalo, Wood Buffalo Community Foundation and FuseSocial came together with the goal of developing a plan for long-term sustainability of the social profit sector and how our respective agencies could work together to achieve this.
The purpose of this partnership is to align the roles and responsibilities of each organization’s people to minimize duplication and maximize our efforts. While each organization will continue to operate independently, we hope to achieve this by leveraging our resources in the community – this includes everything from financial resources to infrastructure, human resources and knowledge.
This will allow each organization to maximize their social impact while we all work towards the same overarching goal – to strengthen our sector and the community of Wood Buffalo.
