The Executive Director Mentorship Program will pair new Executive Directors (ED’s), which are defined as a first time ED within 24 months of program intake, with experienced Executive Directors as a means of support through mentorship.
The Mentorship Program is a peer support model that will provide mentees with operational capacity building, the opportunity to tackle complex problems in a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere, receive feedback, and achieve goals.
Mentors offer their knowledge and expertise to help their Mentee learn and grow. The voluntary sharing of knowledge, experiences, challenges, and successes are the keys to a successful mentoring relationship.

As a mentor, you want to provide the best advice and resources to your mentees. But you don’t need to have all the answers—you are there to support and assist. To be a mentor, you should have:
• Matches will be based on mentors strengths will be aligned with mentees goals, strengths and recognized areas for improvement
• Mentors and mentees will be responsible for setting their meeting times and locations, identifying priority areas for discussion and determining how they want to work with one another
• To ensure that we can effectively evaluate this pilot program, we will require matches to record the number and amount of meeting times and to complete evaluations
