Join Dr. David Sauchyn, the Director of the Prairie Adaptation Research Collaborative, in an informative discussion on the latest climate change information and how it relates to the social profit sector and those most at-risk in our community.
And introducing the #NoNaturalDisaster Global Campaign- Kevin Blanchard. The #NoNaturalDisasters campaign aims to change the terminology to show that whilst some hazards are natural and unavoidable, the resulting disasters almost always have been made by human actions and decisions.

This roundtable will include time to share, connect with one another with a special focus on how to support volunteers in specialized positions. Crucial Conversations is a training session provided through a VitalSmarts certified instructor in conjunction with the book, Crucial Conversations, by Al Switzler, Joseph Grenny, and Ron McMillan.
During this session participants will develop skills for communicating when the stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong.
Participants can expect to: improve dialogue and engagement, create behavior change and build high-performance and culture – at work or at home!

As part of our Board Governance Series, this session will explore the concept of collaborative governance and strategies to work across organizational boundaries to achieve collective impact. Through a combination of panel discussion and presentation, participants will learn how to share responsibilities, advocacy, and/or other efforts to more effectively and efficiently support people and families in a given sector or community.
